Joost Juice Bars bets big on growing health awareness in India

Joost Juice Bars logoAustralian retail chain Boost Juice Bars, which is present in India under the brand Joost Juice Bars, is looking to operate about 100 stores by 2020.

The company introduced the natural juice and smoothies bar concept in India through a master franchise agreement with NatureU Enterprises, which currently operates 14 stores in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. Continue reading

Burger King opens 20th outlet in India

Burger KingAmerican fast-food chain Burger King on Tuesday rolled out its 20th outlet in India with the opening of a restaurant in west Delhi’s Rajouri Garden.

The chain known for its Whopper burgers entered India in November last year through a franchisee agreement with private equity fund Everstone Capital and the company has so far opened outlets in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Chandigarh.  Continue reading

Almost all stores will be franchisee run .Out of the 25 stand-alone stores; eight-nine stores will be opened in this fiscal year. Mia is targeted at working women. At present, there are three Mia stores in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Pune.

Anytime Fitness to open 40 new centres by 2015

Anytime fitnessHealth club chain Anytime Fitness will invest Rs 75 crore to open 40 new centres across the country by the end of the next year.

Anytime Fitness, which entered India in 2012 with its first centre in Delhi, currently has 10 fitness centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Dimapur(Nagaland) and Bhuj (Gujrat). The new centers will be based on franchise model.
